Terms & Conditions

These terms form an agreement between you and Allen Jacob Bulenga ("we", "us"), the provider of Kronika. By creating an account or continuing to use Kronika, you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to do so; otherwise you confirm you are of legal age in your country.

What Kronika is

Kronika is a private space to record your life journey — written entries, photos, video, voice recordings, goals and milestones. You choose what stays private, what is shared, and what is public. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Kronika within the plan you have selected.

Your account

Keep your login credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it current.

Your content

Your entries and media remain yours. You grant us a limited licence to host, store and process them solely to provide Kronika to you. You are responsible for having the rights to any content you upload, and for anything you choose to publish publicly.

Acceptable use

You must not use Kronika to:

• break the law, or facilitate fraud, spam or harassment;
• infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy;
• upload malware, probe or interfere with our security, or scrape the service;
• reverse engineer, resell, redistribute, or circumvent technical limits such as storage quotas.

Our intellectual property

We retain ownership of Kronika and everything in it that is not your content — the software, design, documentation and branding.

Service level

We work hard to keep Kronika available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Payment, subscriptions and taxes

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders, who provides customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Billing, renewal, cancellation, tax and refund mechanics are governed by our reseller's buyer terms. Premium subscriptions renew automatically for the interval you selected until cancelled. When you cancel, Premium continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.

If your plan ends

We never delete your memories automatically. If you return to the free plan while using more than the free storage allowance, your existing entries and media stay in place and remain viewable and downloadable — you simply cannot upload new media until you are back under the allowance or subscribe again.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated policy violations. You may close your account at any time. On termination you will have a reasonable window to export your journey before data is removed.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim, and we exclude indirect, consequential and special damages including loss of profits, data or goodwill. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it. You indemnify us against claims arising from your content, unlawful use, or breach of these terms.

General

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Allen Jacob Bulenga is established, and disputes are subject to its courts. You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it in connection with a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control. If we change these terms materially we will let you know in the app.
